Ojochal

Ojochal is nestled between the dense rainforests of the Osa Peninsula and the sparkling blue waters of the Pacific Ocean. This unique geographical setting provides a breathtaking backdrop for visitors. The area is abundant in biodiversity, making it a great spot for bird watching, wildlife photography, and nature enthusiasts. Ojochal has gained a reputation as a culinary hotspot. The village boasts a range of excellent restaurants, many of which focus on farm-to-table dining, offering fresh and locally sourced ingredients.

Uvita 

Uvita is an upbeat and funky town located along the scenic Coastal Highway. It's primary attraction is the Marina Ballena National Park. You will also find modern supermarkets, banks, tour offices, and plenty more to explore. Take your pick from a variety of restaurants, a wine bar, a small brewery, and even a gelato shop. Don't miss El Mercado Farmers Market, where Uvitans showcase their locally made products every Wednesday and Saturday.

Dominical

Dominical is a laid-back and bohemian-style beach town famous for its consistent, powerful surfing waves. With the most consistent waves in Costa Rica, surfers of all levels will enjoy waist-high waves. It's also a haven for artists, yogis, writers, and more. You can shop for local wares along the beach and visit our favorite stop, the Fuego Brew Co, a tree house brewery and coffee roastery.

Beaches

Discover the most beautiful beaches in the area! Only 3 miles from the villa, the closest is Playa Tortuga, where Olive Ridley sea turtles come to nest from July to January. Playa Pinuela offers calm waters and new facilities, while Playa Colonial is perfect for new surfers with mellow waves. With so many beaches to chose from - we have highlighted our three favorites.

Playa Ventanas

Only 6 miles from the villa, Playa Ventanas is the locals favourite beach. Explore the magnificent sea caves, accessible at low tide, and enjoy coconut drinks from local vendors. Rent a beach tent and chairs, and swim in the calm waters.

Playa Arco

Discover the hidden gem of Playa Arco, accessible from La Cusinga Eco Lodge. Take a scenic half-hour trail to reach the secret beach and explore the stunning caves. Enjoy delicious lunch and dinner with incredible views at the open-air restaurant at La Cusinga.

Playa Uvita

Discover Playa Uvita, one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Swim or snorkel with tropical fish off the famous Whale's Tail Beach, a unique half-mile long sandbar. Enjoy the stunning view from the largest coral reef in Central America and spot dolphins and turtles at Marino Ballena National Park.

Waterfalls

Catarata Uvita

This is the waterfall for adventure seekers, there is a swimming hole under the falls, a jumping platform, and the main feature is a 20 foot natural water slide right in the waterfall. Park at the upper parking lot to find the trail, change rooms and restrooms.

Cascada El Pavon

This unique waterfall has a large bolder that divides the falling cascade and creates a wonderful swimming hole.  The water is clear enough to see fish swimming around.  A Tilapia farm and restaurant are located just up the road.

Ojochal Waterfall

Looking for a secluded waterfall experience near Topanga? Check out this hidden gem just 2 miles away. Lounge on the mossy rocks, wade into the shallow pools and take a dip in the swimming hole. Enjoy the quiet and peaceful atmosphere.

Near the villa find local grocery stores such as Super Jucaloa and Vargas Minisuper, or visit the large modern supermarket BM, just a short drive to Uvita.
